Alexis had been working in the culinary industry for the last 10 years and completed a Professional Culinary Certificate in 2006. She began learning the basics of making cheese and attended workshops and visited factories in South America and Europe and began the slow process of building Cheese Maker. She began with teaching and hosting workshops, then expanded to local farmers markets and larger markets across Canada. During the pandemic, they expanded their online presence. We wanted to enable people to make their own cheese at home with these homemade cheese kits, and educate people about where milk and food comes from, and challenging city dwellers to be more aware of the food and farming industry. Our team has produced 5 different types of handcrafted cheese making kits with 7 different types of cheeses for people to make their own cheeses at home. The kits include all the instructions, equipment and ingredients to make multiple batches of artisanal cheese.
